Big Toe Joint
Pain here is usually either arthritis or a bunion deformity. If you try to move the big toe joint and it does not move at all, arthritis is likely present. In this case, the Cluffy Insole will not help you. However, if the big toe moves, then we can help you with your pain. It is very common for the big toe joint to hurt when walking. Our insole technology will help relieve this pain.
If there is a bump on the outside of the big toe, it may be a bunion. Sometimes the Cluffy Insole can reduce bunion pain.
Back of Second Toe
The bones behind the toes bear the body weight as you move forward. Normally, the big toe and the bone behind this (first metatarsal) bear most of the weight. If the big toe cannot bend well, the first metatarsal will not be able to accept normal pressure. The pressure is then transferred to the second toe and the second metatarsal. The Cluffy Insole is designed to restore the movement of the big toe to allow normal weight bearing on the ball of the foot. Pain around the second toe, or other smaller toes, usually resolves fairly quickly.
Between 3rd and 4th Toes
The most common problem in this area is a Morton's neuroma. This is an enlargement of a nerve on the ball of your foot caused by too much movement on the outside of the foot. The combined features in the Cluffy Insoles are effective at stabilizing the outside arch of the foot. While wearing your Cluffy Insoles, as you move forward, take a longer stride over your big toe. By addressing the source of the pain, this condition usually improves over time.
The Three Arches
Arch pain is very common. When the arch is moving too much, it becomes unstable and painful. The unique design of the Cluffy Insole allows the toes to move correctly, stabilizing the arch and relieving pain.

Heel Pain
Heel pain is very common. The plantar fascia (a ligament that goes from the heel to the toes) is usually tight from a lack of movement of the toes. The Cluffy Insole is effective at resolving this pain by allowing the toes and foot to move correctly, thus stretching the plantar fascia ligament.
Inside the Ankle
This is an area where a tendon, called the posterior tibial tendon, can get over-used and injured. Once proper movement is restored to the foot, stability occurs in the foot, and pain in the tendon goes away. The unique features of the Cluffy Insole deal with the source of the pain and over time, this pain should resolve.

Low Back Pain
If the foot is not moving well, the ankle is not moving well, and the knee and hip movements are affected. This can have an effect on the stability of the low back and cause low back pain. Everything starts in the foot! If you have low back pain and have not had an injury, the Cluffy Insole may help you.
Hip Pain
The Cluffy Insole can help hip pain that is not caused by injury. Everything starts in the foot, and when the foot is not working well, this translates into other areas of the body not working well either. When the ankle is not moving correctly, the hip lacks proper motion. The Cluffy Insole helps to restore movement of the ankle, which helps the hip move better.
Knee Pain
The Cluffy Insole can help knee pain that is not caused by injury. Everything starts in the foot, and when the foot is not working well, this translates into other areas of the body not working well either. The Cluffy Insole helps the ankle to move correctly, which stabilizes the knee.
Lower Leg (Shin Splints)
Shin splints occur when the muscles in the lower leg get overworked and lose flexibility. When you have this, you have a foot problem, not usually a leg problem. Establishing normal foot function with the Cluffy Insole allows the leg muscles to work properly, which resolves the flexibility issues. This addresses the source of the pain and over time, this condition will resolve.
Back of the Heel (Achilles Tendonitis)
Pain in the back of the heel is commonly Achilles tendonitis. This can be difficult to resolve. It results from a lack of proper movement of the toes, which destabilizes the arch. If the arch is not stable, most of the motion of the ankle occurs in the arch. Restoring the proper stability to the arch is critical to allow the ankle to move normally. Once normal motion of the ankle is restored, the Achilles tendon issues usually resolve. We have seen very favorable results with the Cluffy Insole for this condition.
