Wellness, well-being, organics… these are all popular terms in our world today. Words that we didn’t really think about long ago… well, perhaps you had. As we become more and more sedentary in our culture, we need to become more and more aware of what we do for our bodies. A few weeks ago, I had an opportunity to complete a wellness assessment.
While completing this assessment, they introduced me to this wellness wheel:
The higher I scored in each area, I put a dot closer to the outside of that category. As I connected my dots, I could identify my weaknesses and see what I needed to work out to enjoy a well-balanced life. This activity allowed me to understand that each area impacts the other six meaning that one weakness can cause you to be weak in others. While I’ve experienced and walked with patients who suffered when they had foot pain, completing this activity convinced me more of how powerful one’s physical health can be.
How do you fare as you evaluate in these 7 domains of your health?
